Who I Am

“I serve others by doing whatever it takes
to be the best person I can be.”

My name is Stephanie Chiesi Reh, also known as the Accountability Evangelist.

For my “official” biography, check out my media page. For “the rest of the story”, read on…

ORIGIN STORY

Years ago after spending my entire career in a corporate setting, I transitioned to a leadership role at a non-profit organization where I found myself for the first time in a culture where accountability was at best, noticeably absent and at worst, actively opposed. I seized the opportunity to win them over by encouraging and modelling transparent, authentic, impactful communication.

Long before the transformation was reflected in the organization’s bottom line, my influence was gaining traction via one-on-one conversations and in group settings. To attract attention to this important work in a relatable and non-threatening manner, I decided to adopt the persona of Accountability Evangelist. I used a ton of safety pins to affix old stockings in the shape of a large A on the back of a Halloween costume cape. I wore the cape each month when I delivered leadership training to new employees, and on any other occasion where a gentle yet assertive reminder about accountability was warranted.

And thus, my persona and passion emerged: to spread the empowering message of accountability and the wonderfully positive impact a person can have when it is embraced.

MORE RECENT STORY

“I opened my business in January 2015 in order to serve my first coaching client. At the time, I was working 4 days/week at a non-profit organization for a visionary leader who gave me the flexibility to have my own business in order to make up for the difference in salary compared to what I’d enjoyed at my previous corporate job. My main focus 1 day/week was to provide business and career coaching to private clients and to create and deliver leadership development programs to corporate clients. In addition, I co-founded the business with my sister who led our professional organizing segment, which is still alive and well under the original business name, Kidden Prep.

Fast forward to 2021, when my business became a full-time endeavor and my primary offerings were online group coaching for individuals and organizational development consulting for organizations. I then decided that the best place for me was being back in a growing organization where I could make a significant impact. So, I converted my main coaching and consulting offerings to online courses: Focus & Momentum Goal Mastery, Personal Accountability, and Succession Planning: Prepare Leaders for Tomorrow.”

MY MOST AMBITIOUS GOALS

  1. My mission is to to help more people to serve more people. The way in which I achieve this mission has evolved over time, and will continue to evolve.
  2. I want to write really big checks to my target charitable organizations. Ultimately, I also want to establish a philanthropic foundation that writes big checks to worthy organizations, especially those who support underprivileged people.
  3. I want to attain and remain at a healthy weight through proper, sustainable eating habits. I’ve made good progress in the past but have not yet been able to achieve the ultimate goal of food freedom.

WHAT MAKES ME GOOD AT WHAT I DO

  • I designed and executed multiple organizational turnarounds by stepping in to fill leadership voids, getting people excited about accountability, and creating effective tools and processes to facilitate their success.
  • I created and delivered several leadership development programs including Emerging Leaders and Ascending Leaders Programs to provide a pipeline of ready candidates for leadership succession plans.
  • Goal mastery and its cousin, time management, are among my specific areas of expertise under the umbrella of accountability. These two disciplines are critical prerequisites for wish fulfillment.
  • I listen to what is being said and what is not being said, with equal emphasis. I probe and ask questions to get to the bottom of a matter without embarrassing or alienating anyone. My task focus and people focus are equally strong, which equips me to get things done effectively AND maintain trusting relationships.
  • I constantly challenge myself and others to do better and be better. That’s the basis of my get-up-and-go.

WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME

  • I rarely watch TV except when the Buffalo Bills are playing…or a cool Marvel movie or series comes out.
  • I want to create a position for myself as mayor of the Epcot World Showcase at Walt Disney World.
  • My #1 favorite choice for leisure is reading for learning. I always have a long list of books to tackle!
  • I’ve never had coffee – but I love coffee shops.
  • I prioritize sleep (9/9:30 PM is my bedtime), exercise, and [mostly] healthy eating so I can wake up and stay awake without artificial means.
  • I drink lots of water and some wine, and most recently, I’ve added moonshine to the drink menu. Pinot Noir has been my wine champ for years and more recently, I opened the door to white wine as well, specifically Sauvignon Blanc. While I have favorites, I’m always happy to taste new contenders!
  • I’m on Duolingo every day ramping up my Spanish, which I’ve relearned many times. THIS time I’m sticking with it, motivated in part by the incentive of checking a trip to Spain off my bucket list.
  • My favorite outdoor hobby is orienteering, except I really, really don’t like snakes…every time my daughter and I find them on or off the trail, we write off another beautiful park! ☹

DECLUTTERING!

And, I also turned a shared hobby into a business! My sister, Danielle, and I have always loved decluttering. She is the lead professional organizer for the original business we co-founded, Kidden Prep, where you can Transform Your Life: From Clutter to Clarity. Accountability Evangelist is the personal and organizational transformation business of Kidden Prep LLC.
